Konklusion:
The force is strong with this one. Sådan sagde Darth Vader første gang han følte Luke Skywalker, og sådan har vi det med Star Wars Battlefront. Det er en af årets bedste oplevelser, både fordi det er et fremragende multiplayer spil, men i særdeleshed fordi DICE har formået at genskabe magien fra de tre originale Star Wars film. DICE har investeret tid og penge i at lave et spil der er tro mod de tre originale Star Wars spil, og det er lykkedes i en sådan grad, at det er svært, ikke kun at kaste ros efter dem. Men spillet har nogle mangler.

 

Først og fremmest er det manglen på en single player kampagne, som skærer i øjnene. En historie del, hvor man kunne spille de tre helte eller skurke, og nogle flotte CGI sekvenser, ville have været på sin plads.

Det andet kritikpunkt er manglen af multiplayer baner. Jovist, der er en masse forskellige og vanvittigt sjove spilmodes, men der er for få baner at spille på.

Sidst, men ikke mindst, så skal det påtales, at vi er usikre på hvor stor en holdbarhed spillet har på sigt. Undertegnede er hoved-over-hale forelsket i spillet, men kun tiden kan vise om spillet stadig er sjovt om 6 måneder.

 

Star Wars Battlefront har på trods af få mangler, formået at tilføje et frisk pust til FPS genren, og får de kampe vi er vant til i genren, til at føles som krige. Det er hovedsageligt pga. al den action der er bundet op om AT-ATs, X-Wings osv. Det hele går så hurtigt og føles kaotisk i øjeblikket.

 

Derudover, så får man som spiller mulighed for at spille nogle af de mest ikoniske kampe der er brændt ind i vores bevidsthed, såsom kampen om Endor, eller angrebet på Hoth. Vi kender historien, og DICE har formået at skabe en kopi, der er tro mod ånden i de tre originale film.

Selvom helhedsoplevelsen er i top, så har det få mangler, og spillet får en score på 8,5.

 

Til at slutte af, vil vi på tweak.dk sige ”may the force be with you”. Vi ses på Endor!

English summary:
The force is strong with this one. That’s what Darth Vader said the first time he felt Luke Skywalker, and it’s how we feel about Star Wars Battlefront. It is one of the year's best experiences, both because it is a great multiplayer game, but in particular because DICE has managed to recreate the magic of the three original Star Wars films. DICE has invested time and money in creating a game that is true to the three original Star Wars game, and it has succeeded to such a degree, that it is difficult to not only praise the game.

 

But the game has some shortcomings. First of all, there’s the lack of a single player campaign. A story part, where you could play as the three heroes or villains, and some great CGI sequences, would have been appropriate.

The second criticism, is the lack of multiplayer maps. Sure, there are many different game modes, but there are too few maps to play on.

Last, but not least, we are unsure of the lifespan of the game in the long term. We’re head-over-tail in love with the game, but only time will tell whether the game is still fun in 6 months time.

 

Star Wars Battlefront has, despite a few shortcomings, managed to add a breath of fresh air to the FPS genre, and makes the matches we are used to in the genre, feel like wars. It is mainly due to all the action sorrounding the AT-ATs, X-Wings etc. Everything happens so fast and feels chaotic in the moment.

 

In addition, you as the player, get the chance to play some of the most iconic figths that are burned into our consciousness, such as the battle of Endor, or the attack on Hoth. We know the story, and DICE have managed to create a copy that is true to the spirit of three original films.

The game receives a score of 8,5. Although the whole experience is excellent, it has a few shortcomings. To sum up, we at tweak.dk want to say "may the force be with you".

- It IS Star Wars.
- Excellent choice of fights we know.
- Many great game modes.
- Graphics is top of the line!
- Great score and sound

 

Less good:
- No solo content.
- Not all game modes are equally fun.
- Durability.
- Too few maps to play on
