Valve Steam Deck understøtter Windows 11

Valve har arbejdet tæt sammen med AMD for at understøtte både det nuværende Windows 10 -operativsystem samt Microsofts kommende Windows 11 operativsystem, der i øjeblikket er i de sidste faser af udviklingen.

Det rygtes, at Microsoft lancerer deres Windows 11 operativsystem engang i løbet af oktober 2021, selvom Microsoft ikke har offentliggjort nogen bekræftet udgivelsesdato på nuværende tidspunkt. Under en nylig hands-on session med Valve Steam Deck Greg Coomer forklarede Valve Steam Deck designer:

“There’s work looking at TPM just now. We’ve focused so much on Windows 10, so far, that we haven’t really gotten that far into it. Our expectation is that we can meet that.” – “It’s also a conversation that’s going on with AMD,” Coomer explains, “to make sure that, at the BIOS level, we can accommodate that. So there’s nothing to indicate to us yet that there’ll be any issues with Windows 11.”
